Description: Sirius is tall and skinny, though he's started to fill out more. His gray eyes are fathomless and contain a certain sparkle of laughter when he's being particularly mischievous. He walks, talks, and moves with an air of grace that can only be found in those raised in the pure blooded aristocracy. He's not very good at hiding his emotions, and they can be clearly read in his body language and appearance. Sirius clenches his jaw when he's angry, and he has a habit of balling his fists. He walks with a bounce to his step, except when he's particularly upset. When he's experiencing difficult times he has a tendency to let his hair grow long. To those who know him, he can be read like an open book.

M E N T A L
Quirks/Habits: Sirius clenches his jaw when he's angry, and he has a habit of balling his fists. He walks with a bounce to his step, except when he's particularly upset. When he's experiencing difficult times he has a tendency to let his hair grow long. He bites his bottom lip when he's nervous and stares at his hands when he's talking about things that are difficult for him. When he's extremely nervous (like beyond normal) he bites his nails and stutters slightly.
Likes: DADA, Transfiguration, Quidditch, Marauders, Firewhiskey (Alcohol in general), Quidditch, Birds (the female humanoid type), making mischief, joking around, parties
Dislikes: Slytherins, Snivellus, Potions, Prejudice, Tattle-tails, Whiners, his family, liars,
Favorite Daydream: Voldemort's dead, James is alive, and everyone he knows and cares about is happy.
Worst Nightmare: Snivellus hooking up with Lily. For some fucked up reason, the idea that Lily could be with Snivelly haunts him. He feels indignant for James.

R E L A T I O N S H I P S
Parents: Walburga and Orion Black
Sibling(s): Regulus Black
Children: None.
Family History: Walburga and Orion Black had an arranged marriage. However, unlike many arranged marriages, the two actually agreed to the match. They were cousins and had pratically grown up together. They were like-minded in their ideals and their goals, and they were both extremely loyal to the family. They saw it as their duty to carry on the purity and nobility of the Black line. Thus, Sirius Black was born to Walburga and Orion Black on November 5, 1959, as the first born son and heir to the Most Noble and Ancient House of Black. He was instantly doted upon and adored by his parents. He was handsome, intelligent, and showed his magical talent early. However, Sirius was always a bit of a rebel. If his mother said walk, he would run; if she said be serious, he would laugh in her face. Still, this streak of independence was nurtured, for although he was precocious, Sirius never went out of his way to be completely disrespectful to his parents. After all, he loved them and they loved him. This seemed to change when his younger brother was born. Regulus was polite and respectful from the beginning. He never challenged his parent's authority. He, too, was intelligent and showed magical promise early. Though the brothers were close, a rivalry was born. The fierce rivalry between the two was only heightened when Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor. Not only did his parents instantly begin to favour Regulus more, but they seemed to instantly turn on Sirius.
Friends: Remus, Peter, Lily, Emmeline, and other Order Members
Enemies: Slytherins, Severus, Lord Voldemort, Bellatrix Black, Death Eaters

Sexual Experience: He's a virgin... shhh... don't tell anyone.
Past Relationships: Ummm.... there was that one Hufflepuff bird who he snogged twice, otherwise... he's got nothing long term.
Relationship Goals: Having one would be nice. Instead of just snogging and then moving on. But he'd have to find someone he liked first.

H I S T O R Y

Walburga and Orion Black had an arranged marriage. He did his best not to let it bother him, and he began to seek out approval from friends. He became close friends with Remus Lupin, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew, and also fierce enemies with Severus Snape - who seemed to Sirius to be the embodiment of everything his parents wanted in their heir.

In his fifth year at school, Sirius became an unregistered animagus so that he could accompany Remus on his monthly transformations. It had taken a while, first for Sirius and James to discover why their friend was really sick once a month, and then for the two of them to work out a plan. Still, they worked until they triumphed, and eventually they revealed their success to their friend. Although it was illegal, Sirius was convinced they were doing nothing wrong as they were only trying to help their friend. Sirius and James taught Peter how to transfigure. It was that year Sirius convinced Severus Snape to go to the Shack during one of Remus' transformations. Sirius wasn't used to thinking of Remus as dangerous, and when he rounded on Snape intent to kill him, Sirius had panicked. He hadn't meant for Snape to be hurt, he'd only wanted to scare him. Luckily, James had reacted, dragging the boy to safety.

The friendship between the Marauders became a bit strained at that point, and Sirius had to work his arse off to prove to his friends he hadn't intended to try and kill Severus and that he really hadn't thought Remus would attack the boy. Worse, he had to convince Remus that he hadn't tried to use him as a weapon... but eventually, he was able to prove himself and the boys settled back into their easy friendship.

That summer, Sirius' parents began to pressure him into finding a bride. He wasn't interested in all that, and he refused to marry any girl they picked for him. They eventually disowned him the next summer when Sirius declared he'd "rather be a queer" than marry someone his parents chose for him, and Walburga blasted him off the tapestry. Sirius sought refuge with his best mate, James, up until his Uncle Alphard kicked the bucket. He took the money his uncle left him and got a flat in London.

Sirius was glad to only have a year of school left when he found himself on his own. He lived it up his final year, thinking up more and outrageous pranks - but nothing of the magnitude of the mistake he'd made his fifth year. He's become a bit more serious since all that and does his best to try and think through all the possible consequences of his actions before he does them. Still, he sometimes forgets about these things and acts without thinking, but then... he wouldn't be Sirius if he didn't.
After school, Sirius decided it would make more sense for he and Remus to pool their resources, and they moved into the cottage together. It also helped to keep Sirius from feeling quite so lonely since James had attached himself to Lily and they were off doing their thing...
